Early in my career, I watched contractors race through installations, cutting corners on base preparation and skimping on proper jointing materials. At the other extreme, I saw true artisans pour their hearts into every stone, only to watch those same pavers fail a decade later—victims of relentless sun, torrential rains, and the simple fact that no surface is truly maintenance‑free.
